Cisco Systems - Mobile data traffic is increasing rapidly


In a recent study by the U.S. network equipment supplier Cisco Systems expects a Verelffachung global data traffic to 190 exabytes per year in 2018. Mobile data traffic is in Germany tenfold increase, as the study "Cisco Visual Networking Index Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast for 2013 to 2018 'reported.

The average bandwidth of mobile data connections the study authors expect an increase from 2.1 to 3.6 megabits per second and smartphones will be according to the data on the go with 15 megabits per second. Over the next four years, the number of mobile users will increase by 800 million to 4.9 billion and is estimated at 10 billion mobile devices. A year ago, the number of mobile devices has already amounted to 7 billion.

The smartphones, tablets and notebooks will are responsible for about 94 percent of mobile data traffic in the world by 2018.The mobile cloud traffic will increase 12-fold to the study result by 2018 and will be responsible for 90 percent of mobile data traffic.
