Chinese researchers invent water jet printer

Chinese researchers at Jilin University are able to develop a new kind of printer. Finished using inkjet, instead they opt for a natural element simply: water. Ecological and inexpensive design that would reduce waste significantly.
The prototype was developed by the team of Sean Zhang Xiao-An. It is a standard printer ink cartridge which has been replaced by water. It works with the paper specially designed for this purpose. With invisible dyes carefully integrated, the paper may reveal its contents in contact with water, as a developer. Once dry, it returns a blank page, reusable several times. Thus, printing is legible obtained during 22 hours. Beyond this period, the writing evaporates and it is even possible to remove the sheet by heating to 70 ° C in less than 30 seconds. According to tests, the method works up to 50 print / erase cycles and with the ability to print the texts in four colors (blue, magenta, yellow, purple).
In the future, designers hope to improve the life of their paper and eventually develop a full-color model that is beneficial to society and the environment.
