The two French manufacturers have relied on electricity sign a cooperation agreement. The first Renault has already invested $ 4 billion to develop a range of four 100% electric vehicles, including the small city car Zoe. The second has developed its own battery technology, from which he designed the Bluecar for now made in Italy, and the "Autolib 'car sharing system in Paris.
Bolloré and Renault have announced plans to join forces. They signed a letter of intent to work together in three directions. First, both companies will jointly create a joint venture to "conquer and install" new projects in municipalities that want to create their car-sharing system. This company could take over, to begin projects already won by Bolloré in Lyon and Bordeaux.

Then, a part of the production Bluecar could be repatriated to France in the Renault factory in Dieppe. Finally, the two companies could jointly design a new three-seater vehicle, with a range of over 200 km (150 against the current Bluecar).
These cooperation projects are as yet limited. Renault, in fact, has no plans at present to introduce Bolloré batteries in its own electric cars.Renault, like almost all manufacturers, uses lithium ion batteries, imported from Korea. The Bolloré group has focused on another technical solution, called "lithium metal polymer" batteries that contain no liquid. The development of a first Renault vehicle Bolloré could be the beginning of a broader cooperation up to the integration of Bolloré batteries in Renault vehicles.
