A camera to film our arteries

Scientists were able to develop a camera about the size of a grain of quinoa. After PillCam, pill-swallowing camera , here is a miniature model that can provide images of arteries in 3D.
We owe this microscopic camera team of Professor F.Levent Degertekin. In just 1.5 mm in diameter, the prototype uses ultrasound imaging technology and works the same way as a bat sonar.
To create 3D images in real time, the device is based on a network of micro-sensors under an ultrafine membrane. The vibration of the latter which creates sound waves are then detected by the sensors. The resulting signal is then transmitted to an external display via thin cables. In the end, the camera can deliver specific reports and record 60 frames per second.
Apart from exploring the arteries using a catheter, this micro cramera could equip surgical devices.Mounted on a scalpel, it will allow surgeons to visualize the tissue to carry out an incision, its fields of application are manifold.

Grown Tablet market globally

According to the latest data from market research firm IDC, the worldwide tablet market grew by around four per cent to 50.4 million tablets in the first quarter of 2014 and is in lower growth than previously. One of the main reasons are smartphones with larger touchscreens and the second reason are tablet users keep their current tablet longer instead of purchasing a new model. The U.S. technology company Apple, with a market share of 32.5 percent, and its iPad tablet is still the leading providers among tablet manufacturers.

In the second place Samsung landed with a rise of 4.8 per cent market share. His position in the market would expand by an attractive pricing policy, smartphone packages and a stronger cooperation with mobile operators on the South Korean company. On the tablet market Windows tablets occupy a subordinate role and increase their market share slowly. In the tablet operating systems Google Android is the leader, as it is located on 66 percent of mobile devices.

Mobile phone brand Nokia will disappear

According to the U.S. software company Microsoft, the mobile phone brand Nokia is soon to be abandoned and smartphones offered under a new name. In February 2014, Microsoft had completed the acquisition of Nokia. The Finnish manufacturer of mobile business recorded a first-quarter loss of 347 million euros, a decline of 30 percent to 1.9 billion euros. There were 5.6 million Lumia smartphones and 0.5 million Symbian smartphones are sold.

The Windows Phones have been sold at least 8.2 million times in the final quarter of 2013. If the mobile phone Nokia brand disappears, then an era ends because the Finnish company coined the mobile phone market, especially in the 90s and dominated. The smartphone business missed Nokia However, because late smartphones had come with touch screen and advanced operating system on the market. Currently, Microsoft is working on the development of the new name for Nokia smartphones. As the new mobile phone brand is loud and when appropriate smartphone models are coming onto the market, also have no information known. On the smartphone market Windows phones yet they remain rather small role, because the operating system Google Android and Apple iOS to dominate the market.
