A station for loading and sterilize smartphones

It is a fact that our smartphones are proving a breeding bacteria. If some design hygienic screens , others approach the problem differently. This is the case of Lin Shu Kai, which offers an innovative concept: a dock to disinfect all.
UVC Dock is a simple and practical solution to sterilize smartphones and other mobile gadgets.Presented as a disinfectant case, it uses UV light to neutralize bacteria on the terminal. Dock distributes UV radiation of a wavelength of 260 nm , enough to kill the germs that swarm on the screen and the casing of the mobile. In addition, the device can serve as a charging station wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. Its integrated screen are useful information to the user as the weather forecast of the day or the hour. An internal screen allows you to configure the settings when cleaning.
For now, the device is reduced to its ultraportable concept stage and the realization of which is not on the agenda.

A drone brought drugs into prison

The legality of the drones is a sensitive subject. The use of these drones is limited to certain open areas, besides the rules are not the same depending on the type of devices (with or without camera). But as there may be a blur to certain types of uses, as the case of this young Australianis not a shadow of a doubt. The police arrested Sunday, March 9, when he was not away from the prison Ravenhall , not far from Melbourne . The police were alerted by the presence of drone flying over the prison. If this is not the first time a person is arrested for having flown a prison , the case of this young man of 28 years is a more singular: he would have used his flying machine to feed a drug in small quantities. Taken with drugs on him, police have not yet determined whether it was a first time or not. Anyway, this method seems easier than trying to pass many controls in up in prison establishments and less painful than putting drugs in many and varied areas of his anatomy. But in the end, the result is the same as it is caught. Disillusioned, one of the leaders of the Melbourne Gaol, David McCauley , admits that it is only the most recent item in a long list of methods to get drugs in prison.

Mini PC to wear as a listener

Mini PC to wear as a listener
If some design watches or spectacles connected , others develop high-tech ear. This is the case of a prototype developed by Japanese researchers. They managed to reduce the size of a PC headset. A portable technology that is controlled with facial gestures.
This invention must be an engineer at the University of Hiroshima team. Acknowledging a weight of 17 grams, the smart headset uses a series of infrared sensors to detect movement of the face. Its wearer can thus control and execute a command with a simple blink, teeth grinding or other facial expressions. It can connect to a device via Bluetooth to access various applications and notifications. Officiating as a miniature PC, this headset connected embeds a chip and a storage space. But it also includes a GPS, a gyro sensor, a compass, a barometer, a microphone and a speaker. In its application, the device could, in addition to relaying some features of your mobile, be useful for the elderly or disabled. It would thus better monitor their health by controlling biological parameters.
In the prototype, this high-tech headset is expected on the market to the current 2015. However, its price is still unknown.

IOS version 7.1 recognizes facial movements

IOS version 7.1

With each new update of its mobile operating system, Apple still does not consider necessary to share all the news. Proof is with iOS 7 .1, as a new feature has been unearthed by The Loop , completely absent from the report update. It is a way to interact with the system in new ways for a device of the Apple brand: with his face.

The idea is reminiscent of the specific applications phones Samsung in Android , able to read the face of the user constantly to adapt its behavior. But unlike the Korean competitor, Apple is not trying to see if the wearer's eyes remain focused on the phone screen or if they are in the correct reading order. There is more here a new option for people with reduced mobility, the function in question to be found in the accessibility of the camera settings. Under the tab "Control Selection"and in Part "Buttons", it is possible to choose the camera, so that it reads two types of movements at the moment: a nod to the right or left. Can be allocated to each action, launch Siri , the notification center to appear or even handle the volume. Our tests have shown that it works, but at the cost of at least strange attitude which could disturb the environment. If your neighbor starts to move the head of the frantic way, so do not suspect a dog before making sure that it does not simply seek to interact with the phone.
