EU forced Robot Evolution



The European Union (EU) wants the robot development in the EU countries accelerate and provides for a funding of 700 million euros. The global market for robotics currently stands at 22 billion euros and by 2020 there will be 60 billion euros. Europe's market share in this sector is currently at 35 percent, making it the market leader. The announcement for the promotion of robotics was informed at the Munich trade fair Automatica.

The funding initiative was called the SPARC and is intended to provide a forecast by more than 240,000 new jobs.European industry could afford a total investment of 2.1 billion euros in the area. At Automatica this year is on the service robot in the center. In the robotics industry is expected to double-digit growth in the coming years. The logistics, nursing, medicine, agriculture and maintenance have a particularly high demand for service robots. The security and surveillance robots are also in high demand.
