The European Union (EU) wants the robot development in the EU countries accelerate and provides for a funding of 700 million euros. The global market for robotics currently stands at 22 billion euros and by 2020 there will be 60 billion euros. The funding initiative was called the SPARC and is intended to provide a forecast by more than 240,000 new jobs.European industry could afford a total investment of 2.1 billion euros in the area.
